FAQ: Transferring Phone Numbers

Once you port your number to Mangomint, you will no longer be able to use your previous carrier for texting or phone calls.

While we can generally port numbers from any carrier, if you have any questions about whether your specific number can be ported to Mangomint, please reach out to chat support. We can check your number for you and confirm whether it can be ported to Mangomint.

Once you submit your port request, the porting process usually takes between 10-15 business days, with a minimum of 7 business days.

We will not charge you any fees to port your number to Mangomint.

If you are onboarding to Mangomint, you can schedule your port between 7-30 days from the current date. Please keep in mind that once you submit your port request, the porting process usually takes between 10-15 business days.

We recommend scheduling your port a couple of days after your launch date. This way, you will have time to become familiar with the Inbox in Mangomint before porting your number. You can use your default number in Mangomint for texts and calls until your port date.

If you need to cancel your port request, you can only do so up to two business days before your port date.

After submitting your port request, you can view the status of your request if you are an Admin user by opening the Settings app and going to Business Setup > Phone Numbers > Manage settings.

While the process can vary depending on which carrier you are transferring from, we recommend you contact your previous carrier after your number has been ported to Mangomint to determine whether you need to cancel your previous service plan.
